Facilities

Nishkam Primary School is based within the Handsworth area of Birmingham. Our school building consists of grade-II listed Regency style buildings with a modern extension. This space offers impressive, purpose-built classrooms and roof top playground. Every effort is made to ensure the original features of the grade-II listed building are conserved, in order to compliment the homely feel of the school.

Away from campus – our pupils take part in swimming lessons and weekly PE sessions are undertaken at the local sports centre in Hockley. This provides pupils with larger, bespoke areas in which to develop their sporting skills and physical development.

Behind the traditional buildings we have created a rooftop playground providing pupils with a safe environment in which they can explore during outdoor play.

Additional facilities also include our ICT suite with whole-class accessibility and a fully equipped children’s kitchen where food technology takes place.

One of our greatest treasures is our school library.  Our library can be found stocked with a variety of genres to inspired all children to read for pleasure while developing their fluency in reading and comprehension skills.
