Year 10 Business students participate in the Enterprise Challenge
Year 10 GCSE Business students recently participated in the Enterprise Challenge, an in-school competition where young people are supported by trained volunteers to take on a range of challenges by the Prince's Trust. By taking part, students have had the opportunity to set up a pop-up shop in the fast food or sportwear industry.
They have worked on developing their confidence and aspirations for what they can achieve. It has helped them increase their understanding of the world of work and their ability to have a positive impact on their wider community by looking at sustainability. Furthermore, they investigated how businesses can impact society at large by looking at UN goals such as responsible production and consumption. Most importantly it has allowed them to build skills such as teamwork; decision making, problem solving, communication, creative thinking and resilience.
